If you see something, say something.

Some good reading over at Fr. Z's on the laity's war on the lavender mafia.

There's some discussion of Zmirak's suggestion we withhold money (again), but I agree with Frank Keating's assessment that the lavender mafia isn't going to stop the sexual debauchery and corruption because the money is drying up.      Rapists rape even whether their wallets are empty or full.

There is some merit to the idea that the Romans care about the money, and withholding it could cause them to clean the Birdcage.   But Pope Francis doesn't strike me as caring about the money.  I think he is on a mission and he knows he has a limited amount of time to get the job done.

The most effective thing we can do is tar and feather them.    Louder than we ever have before.      This isn't the time to 'calm down'.   It's the time for deafening criticism of their treachery.  Boston Catholics have tried every strategy in the book.  Ad nauseum.     Tar and feathers is the only thing that stops corruption.

One of the most articulate assessments of the situation is from CJ Doyle:

The McCarrick revelations not only exemplify the toxic and deforming influence of homosexuality in the higher echelons of the Church, but expose the mournful reality that the American Catholic hierarchy is institutionally corrupt," C.J. Doyle, head of Catholic Action League of Massachusetts, told Church Militant.
Michael Hichborn is suggesting Catholic laity use the new motto for the episcopal terrorism: "If you see something, say something" I couldn't agree more.

    1. Maybe you are right!

I just started giving money again abiuta yesr ago. I’m in an excellent parish and the diocese seems very good. Been here a year and have yet to see the fruit of the lavender mafia. Go with your gut!

  3. ...and for "conservative-but-not-traditional" Catholics to stop attending the novus ordo Mass. It is *the* rite of Modernism and even for good, decent "conservative" priests who happen to be men of good will, if they celebrate the new Mass, they participate in the rite of Modernism. The most parallel situation to ours was when most of the episcopacy was composed of Arians. In a lot of dioceses the faithful literally threw the Arian heretic bishops out on their ears. Since the faithful of our age are unlikely to do that, and, since at this point the Modernist Bishops really don't need our money then how about we do all we can to abandon the Modern rite of the Mass to the ash bin of history where its already headed to. It has to become as clear as possible, as quickly as possible, to the "conservative-but-not-traditional" pewsitters that the novus ordo Mass was created by Modernist clerics to advance Modernism in the Church: it is one of the primary instruments of the Church's passion.

When Vatican Council II is not a rupture with Tradition( EENS, Syllabus of Errors etc) it is an issue for Cardinal Avez and Archbishop Carbello and not the Franciscans of the Immaculate or the Society of St. Pius X(SSPX)
